Victoria Bosch

I am a PhD student supervised by Prof. Dr. Tim C Kietzmann in the Machine Learning group at the Institute for Cognitive Science, University of Osnabrück.

I work at the intersection of cognitive computational neuroscience and machine learning, in the field of neuroconnectionism. My research asks what neural representations encode, how that information is structured, and when representations align across biological and artificial systems. Currently, I work on these questions by developing neural network architectures that model vision, and the neural decoding of visual representations from brain activity. Beyond my experimental work, I am deeply interested in the theoretical and philosophical assumptions behind the methods used in NeuroAI, and how to interpret representational alignment between biological and artificial neural networks. I hope to extend this work to understand how structural representational formats may support robustness and generalisation, and under which constraints different systems may develop similar representations.

Previously, I completed the Research Master in Cognitive Computing (Artificial Intelligence) at Radboud University (Donders Institute, Nijmegen).
